Duxford Spring Airshow 17th May 2009

The first major show of 2009 held at Duxford Airfield in mid May.

The weather wasn't too good, a bit like much of the weather we'd had in 2008, in the

afternoon though it cleared enough for there to be a pretty full programme of flying.

The display finished at around 5PM just as the rain started to fall.

Unfortunately there were a few items that cancelled, mainly due to the gusty conditions,

the highlights for me though were the Vickers VC-10 from Brize Norton,

The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress 'Sally B' and the Eurofighter Typhoon.

a very enjoyable day, at least most of the rain fell in the morning :
