De Havilland Aircraft Museum & the Roll-Out

of Mosquito FB Mk.VI TA122 in celebration of 85 years of the Mosquito 23/11/25

 

On Sunday 23rd November 2025 the De Havilland Aircraft Museum situated at South Mymms in Hertfordshire

rolled out their DH98 Mosquito FB.VI, TA122.

 

The event was held to commemorate the 85th anniversary of the Mosquito.

A number of talks were held on the day & also present was Colin Bell, a 104 years young Mosquito Pilot.

 

The Museum also houses the DH98 Mosquito B.Mk.35 TA634 & also the Mosquito Prototype W4050.

All this was under the proviso that the weather was condusive to the aircraft being outside.

Fortunately, after around 9am, the rain clouds cleared and it was sunny & dry for the rest of the day.

 

During the talks most of the visitors were away from the Mosquito, I was primarily there to photograph

the aircraft outside the hangar, access turned out to be excellent. Also, nearby, was the newly repainted

De Havilland DH110 Sea Vixen FAW2, XJ565/127.
