North Weald Airfield 14/03/14
On the 14th of March 2014 I visited North Weald Airfield, the weather forecast was excellent & I wanted to give my new camera another work-out before the start of the 2014 airshow season. It turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable day, I was there early to enjoy the sunshine, I was also aware that Peter Teichman's Spitfire PR Mk.XI, PL965/R was due out later in the day & thought, perhaps, it might already be sat outside it's hangar. That wasn't the case but it did make an appearence later. The aircraft pan turned out to be the place to be as Hawker Hunter T.7, WV372/R was to have its first ground run after winter maintenance, unfortunately suffering a fuel leak during the run. Also having its first run after winter maintenance was Westland Wasp HAS.1, XT435/430.
The highlight for me had to be helping Peter Teichman push his Spitfire back into the hangar, great stuff!!
