RAF Northolt Nightshoot XXVIII, once again proving popular with photographers, with good weather, right up
until the last 10 minutes of the event, when the Canadian Air Force Lockheed CC-130J Hercules was preparing to depart & the rain arrived.
There were a few last minute cancellations from the advertised list of participants but those aircraft that did attend were very welcome & much appreciated.
Aircraft that were present came from the French Air Force, the Royal Canadian Air Force, the Army Air Corps together with the two RAF Northolt based London Air Ambulances.
The French Air Force (Armee De L'Air) participants consisted of a pair of Pilatus PC-21's, 709FD/02 & 709FF/04, from Base Aérienne 709-Cognac/Châteaubernard,
from The Royal Canadian Air Force a Lockheed Martin CC-130J Super Hercules, 130604 of 436 Squadron, Trenton, Ontario, which is currently based in Scotland.
From the Army Air Corps a Westland Scout AH.1, XR595 (G-BWHU) & the two RAF Northolt based McDonnell Douglas MD-900 Explorer London Air Ambulances present
were G-EHMS & G-LNDN.
It was great to see some of aircraft runing at the Nightshoot & the Royal Canadian Air Force Lockheed Martin CC-130J Hercules departure was pretty epic,
the Westland Scout also ran twice which was an added bonus.
