RAF Northolt Nightshoot XV held on the 17th of October 2013

Another of the now regular Nightshoots organised Phil Dawe, this Nightshoot, number 15 in the series, once again, had attracted some

very unusual visitors. The highlight of which had to be the RAF Lockheed C-130K Hercules, this was the very

last time a C-130K would be seen in public before the marque goes out of service at the end of October 2013. This C-130K was

XV295 from 47 Squadron based at RAF Brize Norton.

Other visitors included an BAe 146, RJ100, QQ101 from ETPS/QinetiQ based at Boscombe Down,

a Eurocopter EC725 Caracal, 2789/SJ, EH 01.067 'Pyrenees' from the French Air Force based at Cazaux,

an MD902 Explorer, G-EHMS from the London Air Ambulance Service which is actually based at RAF Northolt

and a Eurocopter EC145, G-MPSC from the Metropolitan Police ASU.

Another star of the evening and a late addition was a Grumman S.2 Turbo Tracker, F-ZBEH T20 (Grumman US-2B Conair Turbo Firecat)

from the French Government Securite Civile, based at Marseille - Provence.

Another visitor to the Nightshoot was an RAF Grob G109B Vigilant T.1, ZZ193/SR based at RAF Syerston, a first time for the type.

The weather once again held good, I'm sure Phil must have done a rain dance as we seem to have been very lucky with the

weather during these events thus far & long may it continue!

Some RAF Northolt based 32 Squadron aircraft were also visible in a couple of the hangars.
